When Katherine started to explain her vibe for the day I knew this one was for me and I’m so glad Katherine and Billy had me along to celebrate their day at Abbots Court Rural Retreat & Wedding Venue. With the venue being so close to me anyway, it’s the perfect mix of old country house exterior with modern interior styling and decor.

Katherine and Billy went for rich autumnal colours for their day and it couldn’t have been a more Autumnal day if we tried. The weather really threw us all over the place, sunshine in the morning and for the ceremony then in the the blind of an eye it had turned to heavy downpours and then back to sunshine again. Katherine and Billy were such a relaxed couple and when the weather throws you curve balls, it’s so important to remember to let your photographer judge the weather and be flexible with timings incase you have to run off for 10mins between rain storms to grab photos. Katherine and Billy put so much trust in me for just that and we made it work, making sure to give them as much time as possible to enjoy the day with their friends and family too.

The warm Autumnal colours that Katherine used for her bouquet and throughout the rest of the styling of the day, complimented not only the wedding party but also the aesthetic of the venue too. Especially for the warm tones I try to pull out of all the work I do, bringing that extra bit of warmth with the styling definitely helps too.

Katherine went with a really classic but really beautiful dress from Anna Bridal / Justin Alexander coupled with Billy going for the classic tailcoats as well gave us a stunning look to this Dorset countryside wedding.
