Middleton Lodge Estate was the dreamiest setting for Lucy & Alex’s wedding, and what a day it was! This gorgeous Georgian estate in North Yorkshire set the scene for a beautifully elegant, black-tie celebration full of love, laughter, and plenty of personal touches. After ten years together, these two finally said ‘I do’ in front of the stunning Fig House, surrounded by family, friends, and the softest August light.

a Decade in the Making

Lucy & Alex’s journey started ten years ago, and in May 2023, Alex popped the question in the postcard-perfect town of Positano, Italy. With their hearts firmly set on bringing a little piece of that magic back to the UK, they infused their wedding with subtle Italian touches that made the day feel extra special.

A Black-Tie WEDDING with a Personal Touch

Despite the overcast August skies, the day had the most gorgeous soft light – perfect for capturing all the little moments that made it so unique. Lucy looked absolutely breathtaking in her Essense of Australia gown from Ava Rose Hamilton, and Alex, along with his groomsmen, looked effortlessly stylish in classic black tuxedos.

The outdoor ceremony in front of the Fig House was intimate and heartfelt, with the historic brickwork and lush greenery making it feel like something straight out of a fairytale. With personal vows, a few happy tears, and beaming smiles all around, it was a ceremony to remember.

Bringing a Taste of Italy to Middleton Lodge

Lucy & Alex wanted their wedding to have the warmth and charm of an Italian celebration, and they absolutely nailed it. From limoncello-accented tables to flickering candlelight, the whole day had that relaxed, romantic feel of a summer night on the Amalfi Coast, a nod to their dreamy Positano engagement.

The Fig House reception was pure magic. Long banquet tables and beautiful soft florals set the perfect scene for a night of fun, heartfelt speeches, and nonstop laughter. And of course, the dance floor was buzzing all night long with one of Alex’s Groomsmen being in control of the decks.
